Starting in the mid-morning, mile after mile we’ll cross and leave behind some inhabited center, and where the road becomes exciting we’ll leave the city to go deep into the wild of Tenerife.
First stop, Vilaflor, a small town located at the highest point of the island, in the middle of the pine forest of Teide.
Our tour continues with gentle curves through which we’ll notice a change in the landscape, with many attractions in this area full of Canary pines, such as the famous Mirador of Pino Gordo.
As we go up to the top of the volcano, the landscape becomes more and more lunar, until we arrive at the entrance of the Teide National Park.
Along the panoramic road of the National Park we’ll stop to admire many points of interest, like the extraordinary formation of volcanic rocks among which La zapatilla de la Reina or Los roques de García, the cableway that can take you up to 3.400 mts, the frequent lava flows, the Montaña Blanca, that looks like a white sand desert at the slopes of the volcano, and finally the Montaña Rajada.
From here we‘ll go back to Vilaflor where we’ll have a wonderful lunch in a typical Canarian guachinche.
We’ll taste local and homemade dishes because “through a town’s food you can get to know their people”.
Our day will end with the return to the relative structures.
The tour will take place normally even on partly cloudy days, in case of rain or snow along the road on the slopes of the Teide, alternative activities will be proposed
