Departing in the very early afternoon, we’ll heading north and we’ll reach Güímar for visiting a ranch with plantations of Aloe.
This plant has old roots, and today it’s still used because of its healing properties or as a beauty elixir.
With its origins in Africa, this plant is highly cultivated in Latin America and Spain and is considered an important resource in the island of Tenerife.
We’ll visit the interior of the fields with a guide who will tell us about the properties, benefits and uses of this plant.
With our Vespa’s we’ll came back in the heading south and we’ll reach Poris de Abona and travel along the coast to Punta de Abona.
We’ll reach the lighthouse on foot, through a dirt road. Poris’s Lighthouse or Punta de Abona’s Lighthouse is a place to enjoy the bluest of the ocean and the beauty of the Teide, just by turning a degree at a time.
This lighthouse, same as the watch house next to it, was built in 1900’s and later restructured in the seventies.
Nowadays everything is remotely controlled and operated, that’s why that structure is unoccupied.
The adjacent area to the lighthouse is deserted, in here the volcanic component is duly noted and the ground colours go from black to rust and to a very intense ochre, all of them very well garnished with the ocean’s blueness.
Our day will end with the return to the relative structure.
The tour will take place normally even on partly cloudy days, in case of rain or snow alternative activities will be proposed.
Going from the sea to the mountain we advise you to dress in layers, do not forget a jumper or sweater, trousers and closed tennis or trekking shoes. Bring also a small backpack with a bottle of water, a cap/bandana, sunglasses and sunscreen.
Transfer from and to the guests’ accommodations (limited to the southern part of the island).
Insurance, gas, theft protection kit, technical garments such as helmets, gloves and rain suits/wind suits.
